Today I’m introducing a weekly post series called Pinned! As you might know from reading a few of my posts, I’m an avid Pinterest user. I get a lot of project and style inspiration from it but I don’t always share my favorite finds with you, the readers.
These weekly Pinned posts will be a collection of what I’m lusting after, new project ideas, things that make me laugh, or anything else I found on Pinterest over the past seven days. Basically, what I pinned and why.
Enough explanation, let’s dive right in.
My brother is getting married this weekend!! I’m a bridesmaid and not great at applying makeup so I pinned this image for step-by-step instructions. I love smokey eyes but It’s a morning wedding so I don’t want to go overboard and look like a tramp. This could also be a good date night look that doesn’t involve Law & Order: SVU marathons.
I mentioned a few posts ago that our bedroom is in major need of decorating love. I pinned this image because we have the same duvet cover and I like the color scheme. The nightstands look gray in this lighting and that got me thinking about repainting our cheap-o Craigslisted pair. This picture was just the jumping off point for a bedroom redesign that I’m working on.
Labor Day is just around the corner which means Fall weather isn’t far behind. I want to work on having a year-round wardrobe instead of seasonal ones and this outfit gave me an idea. I have a sleeveless, black jersey dress just like this one and never thought about pairing it with a cardigan and boots. I can get a lot more ROI on my clothes if I learn how to re-work them for different seasons.
Are you thinking about Easter baskets yet? Neither am I. I do, however, love unique gift ideas and this one fits the bill. Guys love beer. This is a scientifically proven fact.* I know that R would love to get something like this instead of a woven basket filled with plastic eggs. *Probably.
Finally, this cute little narwhal is just begging me to take him home. This morning I got an email from ScoutMob featuring a shop called Mint Parcel. The designer is from nearby Arlington, VA, which made me love the prints even more. I headed over to their Etsy shop and fell in love with this guy. He looks like a narwhal ice cream cone – too cute!
